Greenfield may be getting a new neighbor near The Turf.
Developers brought a concept for Loomis Crossing Technology Park — three industrial and flex buildings along West Loomis Road by Interstate 43 — to the Plan Commission on Oct. 14.
Under the plan, four lots would be combined under a certified survey map.
At the meeting, the Plan Commission reviewed the project as a concept only and took no action. Any future approvals for the project would go to the Common Council.
Depending on future tenants, some uses of the site could require public hearings before formal approvals are given on such things as site, landscape and architecture proposals.
Greenfield Mayor Michael Neitzke told the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel the concept was well received. The only real concern, he said, was how a traffic signal might affect the Fin N Feather across the street (at 4060 W. Loomis Road), and those issues will be worked out as the process moves forward.
Where would the Loomis Crossing Technology Park be located?
The area of the proposed project is north of I-43 and to the east of West Loomis Road. To the east of the property are single-family homes and a multi-tenant medical official building, while The Turf Skateboard Park lies to the west.
What would the site look like?

City planning documents show three buildings for the proposed site.
Building A, the largest building, would be about 122,400 square feet, 24 feet high and would include 165 parking spaces. Building B would be about 33,680 square feet, 18 to 24 feet high, with 65 spaces. Building C would be about 88,650 square feet with a 24-foot interior clearance and 155 spaces.
Plans also call for a new full-access, signalized driveway on Loomis Road, separate truck-loading areas away from visitor traffic, on-site stormwater basins and landscaping to buffer the site.
