A five-story mixed-use building with a 60,000-square-foot fitness center, a 30,000-square-foot grocery store and 120 luxury apartments is planned for the next phase of the OneNorth development in Bayside.

Milwaukee-based real estate developer Cobalt Partners plans to build a 212-unit apartment complex at 663 54th St. in Kenosha, according to plans filed with the city’s Plan Commission. The development, which will also include roughly 7,000 square feet of retail space, is part of the firm’s broader $450 million nine-block redevelopment effort known as the Kenosha Harbor District in Kenosha’s downtown area.

The developer behind a long-vacant Pabst Farms site once envisioned for office and retail is now looking to use the site for housing. Next year will involve hundreds of thousands more square feet of housing, offices and industrial space to be built, billions of dollars invested in the state’s growing number of data centers and miles of road to be repaired and expanded for thousands of motorists.

The first housing development for the Kenosha Harbor District is set to open in January, with more construction expected soon after. The Karrick, a five-story, $55 million luxury apartment building at the corner of 55th Street and Seventh Avenue in Kenosha’s downtown, is set to open Jan. 15, 2026, said Scott Yauck, founder and CEO of Milwaukee development firm Cobalt Partners.

Greenfield may be getting a new neighbor near The Turf. Developers brought a concept for Loomis Crossing Technology Park — three industrial and flex buildings along West Loomis Road by Interstate 43 — to the Plan Commission on Oct. 14. Under the plan, four lots would be combined under a certified survey map. At the meeting, the Plan Commission reviewed the project as a concept only and took no action. Any future approvals for the project would go to the Common Council.

Another substantial development has been proposed for Pabst Farms that would include 210 acres of land lying in Summit and the city of Oconomowoc. The plans for the mixed-use development are being brought forth by Milwaukee- based Cobalt Partners and landowner Pabst Farms Development.
